With over 300 stalls, Byron Bay Monthly Community Market is the shire’s biggest market and one of the best in the region. Held on Butler Street Reserve on the 1st Sunday of every month (plus additional dates in December and January) and opening at 8am, the market offers an extensive range of local produce, clothing, accessories, art, jewellery, books and home and giftware. There are numerous fresh food stalls catering for a wide range of tastes and flavours and plenty of artisan and homemade goodies from kombucha to chocolate, dukkah to dips and herbal tea to crunchy kale chips!
There’s plenty for the kids to see and do too. They can get crafty and tie-dye a t-shirt or make a candle, have their face-painted by a fairy or have fun jumping on the bouncy castle. There are some lovely and unique children’s clothes stalls and funky gift stalls displaying rainbow balls to gorgeous wooden puzzles.
There’s always a live band as well as buskers to enjoy as you stroll around the market and enjoy the colour, beauty and sound whilst indulging in the mouth-watering delights this market has to offer.
