General Information

Where else can you push your children on a swing facing such a stunning vista?

Apex Park is situated in front of Main Beach, the most popular beach in Byron Bay. Panoramic views from Mount Warning, to Julian Rocks to the iconic lighthouse; grassy beachfront parkland, picnic tables, park benches, barbecues and a large children’s playground shaded by towering Norfolk Pines,  it’s no wonder that it’s also the most popular park in the Bay.

2 hour parking is available directly behind the park although you have to be quick or lucky to snag a spot. You can also park for up to four hours in the adjacent large beachfront car park, and do so free of charge if you have a Byron Shire residents parking coupon.

For those with prams or strollers, a pathway runs alongside the beachfront and a wide ramp directly in front of the Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) provides easy access to the beach or you can follow the path along the foreshore all the way up to Clarkes Beach.

A new automatic public toilet block has been set up between the playground and the SLSC. Alternatively, there are public toilets available just across the carpark, behind Fish Heads Restaurant.

There are a number of nearby eateries to choose from depending if you just want snacks, drinks or a sit down meal – you’ll be spoiled for choice.
