2021 Spring School Holiday Fun in Byron and Ballina Shires

Hello everyone,

What a tough month we’ve all just endured.  Firstly, congratulations for being the best that you could be in this crazy time. Everyone’s best looks different, and even ‘your best’ can be radically different every day for the same person. I was shocked at how flat I was after the initial snap lockdown got extended.  I am fortunate that I rarely suffer with severe anxiety, most times I can talk myself around but the extended lockdown floored me with a weird social anxiety which was horrible and took me a while to get a handle on it.  A positive outcome though is that it continues to remind me to be more accepting, less judgemental and simply kinder to others as everyone has been managing the best they can through this lockdown.

Anyway, with school holidays upon us, I wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that Byron4Kids is  listing school holiday activities a little bit differently just for this Spring Holidays🌱🌱🌱.

Normally our What’s On Guide is jam-packed with events, activities, workshop and shows but because of lockdown it is decidedly bare. School holiday activities are coming online however, on the eve of the last 2 school holidays,  stringent Covid-19 restrictions were imposed which led to many events being postponed, rescheduled or cancelled and, if they could go ahead, they had strict limitations on numbers, spacing requirements, sanitisation, compulsory mask-wearing etc.

As it such short notice to list holiday events AND there is the imminent threat of lockdown hovering – I have decided that the best thing to do is to temporarily disable the What’s On Guide and  create a general list of events below ⬇️⬇️⬇️👇⬇️

If you need more information regarding a date, time, or what the activity or event involves – there are links to take you directly to the organisers webpage for more information and booking.

That way, should things change rapidly – they will be the first point of contact for information on how that affects you.
