2022 Spring School Holiday Fun!

I was going to write how nice has it been to see the sun shining last weekend and this week! Except it started tipping it down on Wednesday evening and pretty much all day on Thursday. Fingers crossed it improves for the start of NSW school holidays!  Strawberries 🍓🍓 have been on special recently so I bought a few punnets as I quite fancied making strawberry ice-cream 🍨🍦 again.  I couldn’t find the recipe but I remember having mentioned it in a previous blog post so I looked it up and was reminded…

This time last year, everyone was all set for school holiday action however the threat of another lockdown was hovering and indeed kicked in within days of the Spring school holidays starting. We were gutted but we made the best of it – creating obstacle courses in the backyard and trying fun new recipes… yep – Strawberry ice-cream! 😋

So, a year ago today, I made strawberry ice-cream for the first time… and I’ve just made it again! We have to wait now until tomorrow (12 hours in the freezer) before we can eat it but I admit to taste-testing at every step! It has at least cheered me up on this otherwise gloomy weather day!

So, NSW school holidays are upon us and what wonderful activities and entertainment has been lined up for kids and families to enjoy.

There’s plenty on offer with local organisations making every effort to cater to the diverse needs and desires of locals and visitors alike. From crafty and creative, active and energetic, educational and entertaining and all-round inspirational options to suit families and kids from tots to teens! In fact, quite a number of these activities and events this holidays are for high-schoolers and many of them are free and well worth checking out!

The What’s On Guide is your place to go for all the details – dates | times | location addresses with googlemap | contact details | ticket prices and booking links but here’s a taster of everything on offer.

PLEASE NOTE: PLACES WILL BE LIMITED AND BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL FOR MANY ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS LISTED
