General Information

With over 250 stalls, Byron Bay Monthly Community Market is the shire’s biggest market and one of the best in the region. Held around the revamped heritage Railway Corridor and Railway Park with a section of Jonson Street closed to traffic as part of ‘Car Free Sunday’ This area is a hive of activity with room for everyone to browse and wander.

Byron’s original market since 1987 and held on the 1st Sunday of every month (plus additional dates in December and January)  the market offers an extensive range of local produce, clothing, accessories, art, jewellery, books and home and giftware. There are numerous fresh food stalls catering for a wide range of tastes and flavours and plenty of artisan and homemade goodies from kombucha to chocolate, dukkah to dips and herbal tea to crunchy kale chips!

There’s plenty  for the kids to see and do too. They can get crafty and tie-dye a t-shirt or make a candle, have their face-painted by a fairy or have fun jumping on the bouncy castle. There are some lovely and unique children’s clothes stalls and funky gift stalls displaying rainbow balls to gorgeous wooden puzzles.

There’s always a live band as well as buskers to enjoy as you stroll around the market and enjoy the colour, beauty and sound whilst indulging in the mouth-watering delights this market has to offer.
