General Information
Byron Bay Skateboard School delivers professional skateboard coaching for all ages, levels and styles. BBSS’s creator Flavio Biehl has been skateboarding since 1984 and has participated in many competitions within Australia and overseas. Coaching, teaching and sharing his love for the sport has gradually become his mantra.

Kids Group Lesson
This program gives kids aged between 5 & 12 years old the chance to develop their skateboarding skills in a group environment, along with gaining skatepark etiquette, safe skateboarding awareness and community involvement.
TERM 3 2026 DATES: Monday 27 July – Saturday 26 September 2026
COST: $290 / 9 week program
CLASS SIZE: 8-12 students per class (1-2 coaches to accommodate various skill levels in each class)
*All outdoor lessons will move to our Indoor Skate Park in Byron Bay, in the event of wet weather.
**Unfortunately, we do not offer make up classes if you are unable to attend a lesson.

Unaffected by weather conditions, Byron Bay classes take place in their purpose designed coaching facility at 268 Ewingsdale Road, Byron Bay Industrial Estate.
These classes give kids the opportunity to develop skateboarding skills in a group environment plus it’s a is a great way to meet some new friends that share the same passion.
Need skateboarding stuff? No worries – Byron Bay Skateboard school also run a shop at the facility. Apart from skateboards they also stock helmets and protective gear.

Sundays 10am – 12pm | 12pm – 2pm | Bookings Essential
These 2 hour skate sessions are just $20, open to all levels and are simply a time for you to come along and work on your skills – there will be no coaching.
