General Information

Oceana Wildlife is a non profit organisation working to help protect wildlife and their habitat. Since 2007, Jasmin Oceana (founder) has been involved in turtle and dolphin conservation projects and advocacy. For more than ten years, Jasmin has been teaching in early learning, kids’ presentations, and as a Marine Biology VET teacher in high schools for indigenous students.  She’s passionate about exploring the outdoors and spreading her love for wildlife, oceans, and the beauty of nature.

The Junior Wildlife Rangers are nature based programs for all ages designed to encourage children to connect with nature and love our wildlife. Rangers gain an understanding of local conservation, through fun games and activities and by earning eco skill badges, develop a deeper connection to nature and learn how to safeguard our ecosystems.

Themes carry through each session, ensuring a holistic learning experience. Whether it’s a homeschool session or a school holiday program, Junior Wildlife Rangers offers a safe and engaging environment for children to connect with the natural world.

Programs are tailored to different age groups, so there’s something for everyone. If you’re new to drop-off programs, feel free to stay and join in on some games or activities until you’re comfortable.

Nurturing a love for wildlife

Junior Joey Rangers
During the first few years of life, our little ones are developing in so many ways, emotionally, physically, and creating behaviours that will carry them throughout their entire life. Joey Rangers  – suitable for ages 3 to 5 – gives them an opportunity to connect with nature and wildlife, to create a beautiful understanding of the natural world around them and their important part in it. Joey’s will learn about wildlife through songs, art and play. Spending time in nature discovery and learning about wildlife and their habitats.

Junior Wildlife Rangers
Junior Wildlife Rangers programs are designed to nurture a love for wildlife for kids aged 4-12 years. Rangers will learn the skills they need to protect our wildlife, while having fun adventures and earning eco skill badges. Each session focuses on a wildlife theme and encourages creativity, art, science, games, outdoor survival skills and lots of fun with friends, to nurture their passion and knowledge of our wildlife and their habitats, to grow up to protect what they love for years to come.

Junior Eagle Rangers
Step into a world where screens fade away, and the wild becomes the ultimate playground. Our Junior Eagle Rangers program, tailored for 13-16 year olds, is a journey of empowerment and discovery. Away from virtual distractions, they immerse themselves in nature, mastering outdoor survival skills and delving into wildlife conservation. Through hands-on experiences and community projects, they earn badges, forge friendships, and become champions for the environment. It’s not just about connecting with nature; it’s about nurturing a passion for wildlife that will give them the confidence to make a positive impact in wildlife conservation.
