General Information

Located next to the soccer field on Beech Drive – adjacent to Baz n Shaz Grocers – Suffolk Park Pump Track opened to the public in July 2021 and has been a hit with locals and holidaymakers alike.

For those of you who are not quite sure what a “pump track” is –

It is an asphalt track with small bumps, jumps and berms designed to be ridden completely by riders “pumping” – generating momentum by up and down body movements –  instead of pedalling or pushing.  The Suffolk Park Pump Track  is suitable for  both bike riders and skateboarders although we’ve seen scooters and roller skates also be enjoyed.

Shoes and helmets are strongly recommended. We’ve witnessed plenty of stacks as riders attempt to get used to “pumping” as traditional methods of pedalling or pushing simply don’t work.

The track is enjoyed by all ages – from tots to teens to adults. It’s often busy in the holidays but there are definitely down/quiet times  where you can enjoy a good run on it.

This community sporting asset coexists with other community facilities at the same location including a community garden, soccer field, skatepark, playground and tennis courts and is a wonderful addition to the local area.
